Balconies, stairs and edges are where steel keeps people safe. Nunez Welding builds balcony railings, stair rails, spiral staircases and landings, measured on site and welded to fit the house they go on.
Balcony railings
Horizontal bar railings around second floor decks and along covered balconies keep the view open toward the mountains. The bars run level with the deck line, and the posts get set so the rail feels solid when someone leans on it.
Spiral staircases
A spiral stair fits in a small footprint, so it works well for reaching a rooftop deck from a patio. We have built them beside brick houses, modern stucco homes and backyard patios, each one with rails at the top.

Stair rails and lofts
Inside the house, black steel stair railings and loft railings frame a two story entry or great room. They can stay simple with straight pickets or carry scroll panels, like the loft railing in our photos.
Patio railings and landings
Curved railings that follow a patio edge, wire panel railings around a covered patio, and steel landings with grating for doors set above grade on a sloped lot. Our curved patio railing follows the flagstone edge the whole way around, with the pickets set so the view stays open.

Custom welding
Steel planter boxes like the ones under our pergola, brackets and frames, and other pieces that start as a drawing on paper. Ask about repairs to existing gates and railings too. If it is steel and you can describe it, call and talk it through.
Who does the work
Daniel Nunez runs the shop on East 36th Street. One customer wrote that he has been welding metal his whole life, and another said he is a master of his craft. The bid comes from the man who builds it.
Questions about balconies & railings
Can you build a spiral staircase up to a roof deck?
Yes. Our photos include spiral stairs up to rooftop decks, each with rails at the top. Daniel measures the height and the space at the base on the site visit.
Can a railing keep the view open?
Yes. Horizontal bars or widely spaced pickets keep the view, like the balcony railings and the curved patio railing in our photos.
