Vail spreads across the desert southeast of Tucson, between the Rincon Mountains and Cienega Creek. From our shop on East 36th Street it is about 25 minutes out I-10, and the community runs from newer subdivisions like Rancho del Lago to acreage along Old Spanish Trail and Colossal Cave Road.
What we build in Vail
Vail lots tend to be bigger and more open than in town, which puts gates and fences at the top of the list. We build double drive gates sized for trucks and trailers, rolling gates for drives that meet the road, and corrugated steel fences with capped tops for privacy on a wide lot. Closer to the house it is security doors, iron and glass entry doors, porch covers and carports, and balcony railings and custom welding.
In the newer neighborhoods around Rancho del Lago the houses are stucco behind block walls, often with HOA rules on color and style. Security doors, side yard gates and patio covers fit those lots well. Bring the guidelines and the design gets drawn to them.
Acreage, horses and long fence lines
A lot of Vail is horse property and ranch land, with barns, shade structures and long runs of fence. Steel holds up out here where wood dries and splits. A shade roof over a barn aisle or a wash rack, or a long corrugated fence along a property line, is the kind of job we take on, and we size posts and frames for the wind that comes off the Rincons in a storm.
Wildlife is close in Vail too. Javelina, coyotes and the odd bobcat all pass through, so gates that close tight and fences without gaps at the bottom do real work.
Questions from Vail homeowners
Can you build a long fence line on acreage?
Yes. Long corrugated steel runs with capped tops are part of our fence work, along with matching walk gates and double gates.
How far is Vail from your shop?
